Privacy Policy

Your privacy matters to us. This policy explains what data we collect, why, and how we handle it. In short: we collect the minimum necessary to operate a license-based software service, and nothing more.

What We Collect

• Hardware ID (HWID): A unique identifier derived from your system hardware. Used to bind a license key to a single machine. We do not collect your computer name, username, logged-in accounts, or other system details.
• IP Address: Logged during license validation and login events for security, abuse detection, and troubleshooting.
• License & Order Data: Your license key, the associated product and tier, activation status, and order history — all necessary to provide the service you paid for.
• Email Address (optional): If you choose to provide an email at checkout for key delivery, we store it associated with your order. Providing an email is optional.
• Support Correspondence: If you contact us for support, we retain the messages you send so we can help you.

What We Do Not Collect

• Your real name (unless you provide it voluntarily)
• Your game account credentials — ever
• Files, documents, or contents of your computer
• Browsing history outside of SevvyMods
• Tracking cookies, analytics pixels, or third-party trackers

How We Use Your Data

The data we collect is used exclusively to:

• Verify your license and prevent unauthorized use
• Deliver software updates to authenticated users
• Detect and prevent abuse (key sharing, infrastructure abuse, unauthorized access)
• Process and track orders
• Respond to your support requests

Third-Party Services

We keep third-party exposure to a minimum. The services that do touch data related to your use of SevvyMods are:

• BTCPay Server (self-hosted, Finland): For cryptocurrency payments. Our BTCPay instance generates invoices, interacts with the relevant cryptocurrency networks, and confirms payment. We do not collect, store, or have access to your wallet addresses or on-chain transaction details beyond what is needed to confirm an invoice was paid. If you supply an email for key delivery, it is passed through to BTCPay along with the invoice.
• Card payment processor (when enabled): If a card payment processor is available at checkout, payments through that option are handled on their hosted checkout pages. We never see or store your card details. Their privacy policy governs what they collect during payment.
• Google Fonts: Our site loads web fonts from Google Fonts, which means Google's servers receive your IP address and user agent when a page is rendered. This is standard for most websites but we mention it for transparency.

We do not use Google Analytics, Cloudflare, Meta Pixel, or any similar tracking or fingerprinting services.

Where Your Data Is Stored

Our primary application server and database are hosted on a VPS located in the United States (New York). Our BTCPay Server instance is hosted separately in Finland. If you access SevvyMods from outside these regions, your data will be transferred to and processed on servers in these locations.

Data Security

We apply reasonable, industry-standard security measures to protect the data we store, including access controls and encrypted connections. However, no system is perfectly secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security. You use the service at your own risk.

Data Retention

We retain license and activation data for as long as your license is active, and for a reasonable period afterward for record-keeping and fraud prevention. If you would like your data removed, email support@sevvymods.com or contact us on our Discord.

Your Rights

Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the right to access, correct, or request deletion of the personal data we hold about you, and to object to certain processing. To exercise any of these rights, email support@sevvymods.com. We will respond within a reasonable timeframe.

Children's Privacy

SevvyMods is not directed to, and is not intended for use by, children under 13 (or under 16 in the European Economic Area). We do not knowingly collect personal data from minors. If you believe a minor has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will delete it.

Changes

We may update this policy as our services evolve. Material changes will be reflected in the "Last updated" date above. Continued use of SevvyMods after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
